Nově otevřená výzva v programu EIT FOOD, zaměřená na komercializaci potravinových produktů a žadatele typu výzkumné instituce a výrobci potravin. Výzva je vhodná pro firmy, které vyvíjejí potravinový produkt, ideálně i ve spolupráci s výzkumnou institucí a plánují poslední testování a umístění na trh s prvními očekávanými obraty z prodeje v roce 2026 a počítají či by se jim líbilo i např. zapojení koncových spotřebitelů.

We invite organizations to participate in the 2025 EIT Food RIS Consumer Engagement Labs (CEL), a unique initiative designed to foster consumer-driven innovation in the agri-food sector. Through this program, selected consortia will deliver local co-creation processes, engaging consumers to design new food products addressing societal challenges and market needs.

EIT Food RIS Consumer Engagement Labs (CEL) is one of the largest consumer co-creation initiatives in Europe, based on innovative methodologies developed by the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw (Centre for Socially Responsible Innovations - CSRI). The program empowers scientific organizations and food companies to collaboratively address societal challenges, such as targeted nutrition, protein diversification, and the needs of vulnerable consumer groups.

Consortia applying to Consumer Engagement Labs include a scientific organisation and a company (food producer), and EIT Food pays particular attention to the commercial viability/experiences of the company because each participating company is expected to successfully commercialise a new product and generate product sales of at least 10k€ in 2026. 

Budget of the project for each organisation is as follows: scientific/research organisation 18 750 EUR + food producer 12 500 EUR

Selected consortia will:

  • Facilitate co-creation sessions with consumers to address societal challenges using proven methodologies.
  • Develop and launch new products based on consumer insights, with €10,000 in sales targeted within a year.
  • Engage diverse consumer groups to generate innovative solutions.
  • Disseminate results and build partnerships with key stakeholders.

Applications are open to local consortia consisting of both:

  • Scientific organizations: Universities or research institutes with expertise in consumer engagement and facilitation of co-creation processes.
  • Food companies: Local businesses with the capacity to develop and commercialize consumer-driven food products.

Participants receive comprehensive training, mentoring, and tools for successful implementation and consumer groups will co-create ideas aligned with EIT Food's impact pathways and local challenges.
